Cover Crazy {4} The Name of the Star & Shadow Kin

Cover Crazy is a weekly meme, hosted by The Bookworms. It's main focus is to share and showcase book covers that caught our eye, whether it be through great colors or just a beautiful design.

This week I'm crazy for...
The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson
{Shades of London Series #1} (Release Date: September 29, 2011)

What I Love:
The ambiance set with the fog and castle in the background...very gothic!

The Jack-the-Ripper-esque feeling the shadowy figure envokes as he looms over the beautiful and vulnerable young girl...very creepy.

The mixture of black and white with color conveys a retelling of an old tale in a modern setting.

Shadow Kin by M. J. Scott
{Half-Light City Series #1} (Release Date: September 6, 2011)

What I Love:
The kick-ass pose and dagger the heroine's showing...she's not one to mess with!

The towers in the background that give an element of a fantasy world.

The great mix of antique-looking scroll work in the title and background with a modern world heroine...just beautiful!

What covers are you crazy for this week?
