Follow Friday & Tagalong Friday {7}

Follow {my Book Blog} Friday is a weekly event hosted by Parajunkee.com.

This week's feature blog is:
Romance Around the Corner

This week's question:
Do you have anyone that you can discuss books with in real life? Tell us about him/her.

I don't have many books in common with most of my friends. They tend to read more chick-lit books while I embrace my dark side and am addicted to paranormal romance, urban fantasy and anything vampire and werewolf. I had given up all hope in having someone I know in real life to share my love for my preferred genres. Then one day while visiting my sister I casually mentioned this great series I was reading and she told me that she had just bought those books, the series was Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld. I was so thrilled that my sis and I were reading the same books! Since then I have introduced her to some of my fave series, including the Black Dagger Brotherhood and have never been happier. Who better to share your love for books than your greatest friend? Your sister!

Happy Follow Friday!

18 & Over Book Blogger Tagalong Friday is a weekly theme hosted by Laurie at Bitten by Paranormal Romance where book bloggers who review adult books come together to make new friends and share little tidbits about themselves!

Question of the week:
Do you have a favorite hero, so far, this year? If so, who?

Wow, this is a loaded question! I've read a ton of great books with worthy heroes but if I have to choose one it will have to be Vishous from the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

I fell in love with him in Lover Unbound but was highly upset with his happily ever after. I was psyched when I heard he would be a large part of the next installment in the series, Lover Unleashed. My love for Vishous was rekindled after reading the latest book. His growth and transformation throughout the book was heartbreaking yet exciting and changed my opinion of his HEA. V is one of the top tortured heroes on my list and I'm glad the Warden gave me answers to those unresolved questions that lingered in my mind after his book. I couldn't have asked for a better ending for him after all the darkness in his life! And there you have it...my hero of the year!
