Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?

Since we're going with a book we have actually finished I'll have to say it's The Claiming Of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice. Now before I go on I have to add that Anne Rice is one of my fave authors...just not when it came to this book and series!

When I first read the book's description I thought I was getting Sleeping Beauty with an erotic twist. What I got was a world of debauchery and BDSM...and not the good kind! There's no romance and tons of scenes of sadism, humiliation and border-line rape. I'm an open minded reader but this was just too intense for me. This was my first try at erotic romance...needless to say I was tainted by this book and strayed away from this genre for a while but eventually gave it another try!
